fiskeväder.se is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Contact us at fiskevader@gmail.com with any questions about personal data.

Account data – email address and optionally your name when you create an account. Handled by our authentication provider.

Location data – coordinates and names for the fishing spots you add.

Weather data – hourly measurements from SMHI's open API for your coordinates.

We process your data to provide the service (contractual necessity).

If you join the premium waitlist, we store a timestamp linked to your account recording your consent to receive an email when premium launches. We don't use it for any other marketing, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Hourly weather data is stored for 90 days and then aggregated into daily summaries that are kept while your account is active.

When you delete your account, your spots, weather data and account details are removed.

We use selected providers for authentication, database and hosting. Database and hosting are within the EU. Our authentication provider processes data outside the EEA – see “Transfers outside the EEA” below.

When you create an account we use our authentication provider, Clerk (Clerk, Inc.), to manage sign-in. Clerk processes and stores your account data on servers in the USA. This transfer outside the EEA is covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Clerk is certified, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a supplementary safeguard.

You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account and all data directly in the app under Settings.

You may also file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
